Forming a Texas Professional Association

A professional association is a group of professional individuals, such as medical professionals, who consolidate their practices together without forming a corporation or partnership. Under the Texas Professional Associations Act, only individuals licensed to practice medicine by the Texas State board of medical examiners may form a Professional Association.

The legal fees for forming a Professional Association are $500 plus filing fees. This includes two hours of legal consultation, and preparation of all necessary association documents.
